The Brazilian Samba and Bossa Nova are music styles that create impressions of sunshine and walking along the beach. Undeniably, when you hear this music, it’s as if the sun is suddenly shining and people are spontaneously cheerful.

João is a recital where the songs bring to life lightness, joy and humor with occasional nostalgia and sweet sadness. The program is a mixture of currently available songs and his own work. The texts are predominantly in Dutch with a few in English, therefore no need to understand Portuguese ?

It promises to be an evening where the smile emerges spontaneously.
